The alleged use of Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor’s credit card resulted in fraudulent transactions of around Rs 4 lakh.

On Feb. 9, Rs 3.82 lakh was fraudulently transferred from Kapoor’s account in five transactions, according to the complaint.
On Wednesday, a case was filed under the relevant sections of the Information Technology Act at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai.
When Kapoor discovered that money had been taken from his bank account, he contacted the bank to find out more. He also filed a written complaint with the police following this.

He was informed to the police that no one had asked for his credit card information. He hadn’t received any phone calls about it either. Officials believed the data was collected while Kapoor was using the card.
It was discovered that the money from Kapoor’s card was transferred to the account of a company based in Gurugram.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
