Doublet Drops bag and card holder in the shape of a skateboard

Masayuki Ino’s Tokyo-based tag doublet has a knack for turning inanimate things and creatures into other objects, previously turning a pair of SUICOKE slippers into sheepskin, a shipping box into a bag, and a cat into a bag flexible, and now it has released its latest offering: the skateboard-shaped bag and card holder.

Released as part of Dover Street Market Singapore’s “Holiday Specials” offering, the pieces feature sticker-style graphics, including one that reads “I Love DSM” in the style of an “I Love NYC” sticker. Classic sticker labels such as “Hello My Name Is” and anti-establishment inspired graphics “Putting Sticker Is Not a Crime” appear alongside a thumbs up “Like”, a cartoon version of the American flag and stickers of the bolts that hold the skateboard wheels in place.

Both pieces are made from smooth tan-coloured leather and feature a black fabric backing, where you’ll find doublet branding next to its ‘Strangest Comfort’ slogan – which also sits on the front as a graphic sticker – and the zipper to enter both the bag and the card holder.

The doublet bag sells for SGD$700 (about $511 USD) and the card holder costs SGD$240 (about $175 USD). Both can be purchased from the DSMS website now.

In addition, HUMAN MADE has released its Holiday 2021 capsule.
