Mobile financial services provider Nagad has offered a cashback offer of up to Tk 400 on Mastercard credit card bill payments.
To take advantage of the offer, consumers will need to register their Bangladesh Bank-approved Mastercard credit cards in the Nagad app, according to a press release.
Cardholders can pay their bills through Nagad’s “Bill Pay” option by clicking on the “Credit Card Bill” payment option. They will get 1.5% cashback over two cycles or up to a maximum of 400 Tk.
The cashback will be paid out in two rounds. The first cycle, which began on September 21, will continue until October 20.
A refund of 1.5% or a maximum of 200 Tk can be used if one registers or pays the bill from a newly registered Mastercard credit card.
Later, the second cycle will run from October 21 to November 30, 2022. During this time, if a customer pays their bill with a Mastercard credit card, they will get 1.5% cashback or a maximum of 200 Tk.
A consumer can only get cashback once on a bank card per cycle. But they will get this advantage again in the new cycle.
Customers can benefit from this facility from Mastercard cards of several banks during the same cycle. And in this case, the consumer will receive a maximum cashback of 200 Tk.
Nagad Chief Commercial Officer Sheikh Aminur Rahman said, “Paying Mastercard credit card bills through Nagad will be a hassle-free process for consumers. We hope that consumers will no longer have to queue at banks to pay their bills.
