LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid said on Friday that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also a Pakistani citizen and his health card had also been issued, but he was not present here , reported Bol news.
“If he returns to Pakistan, he will also receive the health card,” Yasmin Rashid said in a statement. About 30% of the population of Punjab have started using the card, she claimed.
She said an app has been created to log complaints related to the health card. She said the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company (PHIMC) was trying to resolve all complaints related to the card. The complaints were looked into by the health secretary, she added.
Punjab’s health minister said most people pay taxes, so those who pay taxes should be given the health card.
On January 23, Dr. Yasmin Rashid ruled out the possibility of manipulation of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif’s clinical trial reports during his treatment at Services Hospital.
She had stated that there was no possibility of manipulation of the reports because the whole system was transparent and closely monitored by rigorous professionals. When he left for London, the ex-PM was seriously ill, she added.
“The former Prime Minister was transferred to the wards hospital in critical condition. He was a dengue fever patient with multiple co-morbidities like heart, diabetes and high blood pressure.
The minister had said that a dengue patient could recover even if his platelet count went down to 2,000. “Nawaz did not bleed even when his platelet count was extremely low. There was only slight bleeding from his gums,” she said.
